  • Reports directly to the VP of Manufacturing.

  • Train, oversee and manage manufacturing staff.

  • Perform any manufacturing responsibilities in addition to oversight of the other manufacturing staff.

  • Setup the job area, make sure the correct tools are in each bay to complete the job.

  • Set daily expectations, drive production schedule and status daily – determine manning, material, equipment and personnel for each job with the supervisors. Take immediate action to remove all roadblocks preventing the job from progressing IAW Schedule.

  • Perform hourly job oversight to insure they are progressing, take immediate action to keep them on track and provide feedback to the supervisors.

  • Verify or train employees on how to operate the tools and equipment required to perform their assigned task. Verify equipment such as welders, cutters, grinders are properly set up and functioning safely as intended.

  • Perform beginning of shift and end of shift audit of jobsites. 

  • Take action for improvement of facility material and cleanliness discrepancies.

  • Work with Programs and Manufacturing Engineer in the development of Fixtures and proper job sequencing.

  • Provide daily status of job progression (nominally 0800 Daily when Production Work is In Progress) with Program Management, Quality Control, Purchasing, MP and L, and VP Manufacturing.

  • Support physical inventory verification activities as defined by the VP Manufacturing.

  • Confirm manufacturing staff is logged into the correct job and task.

  • Verify work areas are clean and organized at all times. Perform

  • Maintain a respectful and professional approach to communicating with others.

  • Follow and enforce all company policies including safety rules and quality standards.

  • Provide necessary manufacturing support as required to meet production output requirements.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must have a detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, fitting, and processing.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work independently and build a cohesive team.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and direct individuals and teams to work together for a common goal.
