Job Summary:
-
The Process Development Engineer is responsible for overseeing development and process control information required for proper production control.
Duties:
-
Reports directly to the Quality Manager.
-
Confirms new job BOM’s are accurate for input into the E2 operating system.
-
When necessary, be able to perform any Process Development responsibilities in addition to oversight of the other Project Development staff.

Confirms material requirements to the individual items are correct for process development.

Confirms Make vs. Buy decisions and process routing as confirmed in kickoff meeting into E2.

Confirms new job is set to the Planned state in E2.

Confirms E2 with any material and make vs. buy changes as directed to improve processing cost and timing for project.

Confirms potential stock inventory has been identified for Processing Supervisor to confirm availability.

Assist to resolve any questions or concerns with Make vs. Buy and material identification inputs in E2.

Assist in entering production summary quantities into E2 as required.

Develop Production Standard forms for posting in work centers.

Assist in Quality Inspection plan development as required.

Assist in physical inventory verifications for accurate reporting as required.

Review customer contracts and determine requirements to flow down.

Support in keeping the facility a clean organized and safe environment to work.

Maintain a respectful and professional approach to communicating with others.

Follow and enforce all company policies including safety rules and quality standards.

Provide necessary manufacturing support as required to meet production output requirements.
Abilities and Skills:
-
Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing welded products.
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work independently.

Ability to effectively communicate and have working knowledge of Excel, Word, and preferred E2 operating system.
-
Must have working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.

Experience with Defense related contracts and blueprints.
-
Bachelor Degree in manufacturing or related fields preferred.

Must be a U.S citizen
