Responsibilities of the Position Include:

Chief financial officer (CFO) must have strong analytical, strategic planning and communication skills, including an ability to work well with the chief executive officer, board members and other senior managers.

Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required

Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth and expansion

Establish and maintain corporate financial metrics
-
Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
-
Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget
-
Direct accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
-
Drive the company’s financial planning
-
Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner
-
Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
-
Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company
-
Execute the financial strategy of the company
-
Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks.

Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting and finance staff
-
Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.

Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability
-
Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.
-
Managing or overseeing the relationship with independent auditors
-
Managing relationships with investors and investment institutions
-
Oversee cash, investments and asset management area.
-
Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.

Overseeing financial systems implementations and upgrades
-
Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments

Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
-
Providing strategic management of the accounting and finance functions
-
Recommend improvements to ensure the integrity of a company’s financial information
-
Remain current on audit best practices as well as state, federal and local laws regarding company operations
-
Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers, insurance, legal etc.)

Support the President and CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
-
Must be a US citizen
-
Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role
-
In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
-
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
-
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
-
Ability to strategize and solve problems
-
Strong leadership and organizational skills
-
Excellent communication and people skills
-
An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
-
CPA is a strong advantage
-
BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
